Key Terms
- Monitored orders — The total number of orders and draft orders created in your store during the billing cycle. This includes all orders, not just those containing bundles
- Bundle units — The total number of bundle parent line items processed ("explosions") during the billing cycle. If a customer orders 3 of a bundle product, that counts as 3 bundle units
Free Trial
All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. During the trial:
- Full access to all features on your selected plan
- Usage is tracked but no charges are applied
- You can change plans during the trial
- The trial starts when you approve the subscription
Scale+ Overages
The Scale+ plan includes usage-based overages for shops that exceed the included limits:
| Overage Type | Rate |
|---|---|
| Monitored orders | $15 per 100,000 orders over 250,000 |
| Bundle units | $12 per 10,000 units over 100,000 |
Overages are billed periodically during the billing cycle with a transparent monthly cap. You can view your current usage and projected overages in the app.
Usage Cap
Scale+ includes a configurable monthly spending cap for overages (default: $1,000). This cap prevents unexpected charges:
- You can increase or decrease the cap from within the app
- If usage approaches the cap (approximately 90%), BundlesIQ shows a notification
- Increasing the cap requires merchant approval through Shopify's standard confirmation flow
Choosing the Right Plan
Plan Recommendation Guide
- Check your monthly order volume — In Shopify Admin, look at your total orders created per month
- Estimate bundle units — How many bundle products do you sell per month? Each unit purchased counts
- Match to a plan — Choose the plan where your volumes fit within the included limits
| Your Volume | Recommended Plan |
|---|---|
| Up to 2,500 orders/mo, 500 bundle units | Core |
| Up to 12,500 orders/mo, 5,000 bundle units | Ops |
| Up to 60,000 orders/mo, 25,000 bundle units | Ops+ |
| Higher volume or need overage flexibility | Scale+ |
Plan Selection in the App
BundlesIQ runs a preflight check when you select a plan:
- Order volume check — If your last 30 days of orders significantly exceed the plan's included limit, BundlesIQ will warn you or suggest a higher tier
- Dev store check — Development stores are automatically placed on the free plan
- Billing currency — Displayed in your store's app billing currency
Changing Plans
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time:
- Navigate to BundlesIQ > Settings > Billing (or BundlesIQ > Billing)
- Select the new plan
- Approve the plan change through Shopify's confirmation flow
- The new plan takes effect immediately
When upgrading: You get immediate access to the higher plan's limits.
When downgrading: The lower plan takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What Happens When You Exceed Limits

If you exceed the included limits on Scale+:
