Mobile warehouse work with Inventory Management

Keep your inventory in step with the warehouse.

Receive deliveries, count stock and move goods from the floor, connected to the orders, bins and tasks your team manages in Zapstra Inventory Management. Give operators the context to record what happened and the office a clear view of the result.

  • Work against the right order and bin
  • Review packs and quantities
  • Know what has actually applied

The work behind the storefront

The goods moved. Has the record caught up?

Your team knows what arrived, which shelf it went onto and what was actually counted. That knowledge needs to reach the operational record while the work is still clear.

A delivery is waiting at the dock.

Bring the purchase order and remaining quantity to the person checking the goods, so the receipt starts with the right context.

A case and an item look like the same scan.

Use configured barcode and pack information, with a quantity review before recording the stock action.

A connection drops before the result is clear.

Inspect saved work and processing status to establish what applied before deciding whether anything needs to be repeated.

Built around your operation

Give every stock action the context it needs.

The order, material, unit and location matter as much as the barcode. Bring them together in the work your team is doing.

Receiving

Receive against the order, with the remainder in view.

Open the purchase order, identify the line and record what arrived. Ordered, received and remaining quantities keep a partial delivery connected to the work still outstanding.

Packs and quantities

Keep cases and individual units straight.

Use configured barcode and pack information to enter quantities in the appropriate unit. Review the conversion so a case of 24 has a clear relationship to the individual units you hold.

Understand packs and barcodes

Physical counts

Count the scope you need.

Count materials in one bin, or follow one material across bins. Record observed totals and review the count before submitting it, then check its applied outcome.

See the counting workflows

Bin movements

Move stock with both ends in view.

Identify the source and destination bins, review the quantity and check the proposed stock impact. Keep the location of goods connected to the inventory record as the warehouse changes.

Prepared work

Carry planned work onto the floor.

Open available transfer and production tasks to pick materials, receive transfers or record output placement. Keep those steps connected to work prepared in Zapstra Inventory Management.

Review supported task workflows

Interrupted work

Pick up interrupted work with context.

See whether work is saved on the device, processing, applied or needs attention. Use saved-work recovery to inspect the original job before repeating an action after a connection problem.

An illustrative workflow

From delivery dock to counted shelf.

A practical sequence for the people who handle your stock—and the people who need to understand the result.

  1. Receive the delivery

Open the right order and record the quantity that arrived. If 48 of 72 mailers arrive, receive 48 and retain visibility of the remaining 24.

The receipt stays tied to the order

  2. Put stock in its place

Use bin movements to record where goods are held. Review the source, destination and quantity before confirming.

The movement has both ends recorded

  3. Check what is really there

Count a bin or check one material across its bins. Review observed totals before submitting the count.

The count reflects the scope you checked

  4. Follow through on the result

Inspect Activity and the related Zapstra Inventory Management record to establish what applied and what needs attention.

The team can follow the recorded outcome

The physical work and the operational record stay connected.

Questions merchants ask

Do I need Zapstra Inventory Management?

The workflow described here connects Stock Scan to an Inventory Management organization. Inventory Management supplies the materials, purchase orders, locations and operational work; Stock Scan lets your team act on them from the floor.

Can we receive only part of a delivery?

Yes. Record the quantity that actually arrives and review what remains on the order. Review the receipt before completing it, then confirm its applied result.

Can one scan represent a whole case?

Yes, when the material’s barcode and pack quantity have been configured appropriately. Check the displayed unit and conversion; a case barcode and an individual-unit barcode may represent different quantities.

Does it work without a connection?

Some work can be captured locally and recovered after an interruption. This depends on the workflow: some actions require current data or a connection, and completion must be confirmed. Prepare intended work while connected and follow the app’s readiness guidance.

Does scanning immediately change Shopify inventory?

Scanning can identify a material or capture a quantity within a workflow. Inventory changes when the relevant action is applied. Updating Shopify also depends on your configured inventory authority and active syncing in Zapstra Inventory Management.

Which devices can we use?
