Delete your Zapstra Stock Scan data

Zapstra Stock Scan is a stock-scanning app by Zapstra for staff of businesses that use Zapstra. This page explains how to ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you as a Stock Scan user.

How to request deletion

  1. Email support@zapstra.com from the email address you use to sign in to Zapstra. Use the subject “Stock Scan data deletion”.
  2. Tell us the name of the business (store) you use Stock Scan for. If you use Zapstra with more than one business, say whether you want your data deleted for one business or all of them.
  3. We’ll email a one-time code to that address to confirm the request is yours. Reply with the code.
  4. We complete the deletion within 14 days of confirming it, and email you when it’s done.

Removing access is different. Your business’s Zapstra admin can remove your access to Stock Scan at any time. That stops you using the app for that business, but it doesn’t delete your data.

Uninstalling the app removes only the data stored on your device.

What we delete

  • Your name and profile details (such as job title) held for that business.
  • Your Stock Scan access and device registrations for that business.
  • Your Zapstra sign-in account and email address, but only if you no longer belong to any other business on Zapstra or use any other Zapstra app. If you do, we keep your sign-in so those keep working, and remove only the business you asked about.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Work you recorded for the business (stock counts, receipts, transfers, notes and photos) belongs to that business. We keep it as the business’s records for as long as the business has a Zapstra account. After deletion, these records are linked only to an anonymous identifier, not to your name or email.
  • Security records of device activations are kept for as long as the business has a Zapstra account. They are linked only to that anonymous identifier.
  • Crash reports are kept by our crash-reporting provider for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically. They don’t contain your name or email.
